Saturday we spent the day celebrating Lauren and Noah, a couple who came from LA to be married in Lauren’s hometown. I will start this post by notifying you that it is going to be large…probably the biggest one I have ever posted. There is SO much to say about how much I adored shooting this wedding. How much I adored Lauren and Noah, their families, every detail they put into there day, just…everything. They kept the traditions that applied to them and ran with it. They spent the entire day together, even getting ready together at her families home, along with his family. They did a “first look” after she put her dress on. They had their ceremony and reception at the Mattress Factory Museum of Contemporary Art on the North Side (an absolutely amazing venue). They made beautiful pom poms to hang from the ceiling. She wore purple Kate Spade heels. I could literally go on ALL DAY, but most importantly, they love each other in an honest, familiar way. Their families love them both. It was hard to tell where one family stopped and the other began. Their day was 100% about LOVE. No stress, no acting. Just real, honest LOVE. Thank you Lauren and Noah (and your families), so much for choosing us to document and share your day. Have an amazing time exploring the great outdoors on your honeymoon!

Lauren and Noah made their own invitations. They came in 3 parts (the first being the Save The Date) that all connected into a photo from when Noah proposed.
While the girls were getting ready, Jimmy headed down the street with the guys…
Helping her groom get ready. How wonderful to spend their entire day together instead of just a few hours in the evening.
Here you are Anna, like I promised!
Molly did a fantastic job on everyone’s hair and makeup.
Noah waited in the backyard for Lauren and saw her for the first time in her dress…
Dad’s first time seeing his girl as a bride…
The whole family headed a few minutes away to Mellon Park for a few portraits…
Lauren and her girls (her sister, his sister, and her cousin)
Noah and his guys (his brother and her brother)
And then we headed down to the Mattress Factory and the Mexican Warstreet (one of my favorite places to shoot) for some alone time…
I may be biased, but this little break time snack shot may be a good one to hang in the dining room…
Noah headed downstairs to get ready for the ceremony and we stayed upstairs. While I was editing through their photos I saw these two right next to each other. Taken 3 seconds apart. Jimmy was with Noah, I was with Lauren. They were talking to each other
Grandpa’s face as Lauren made her way down the aisle FOR. THE. WIN.
We went up to the galleries to shoot a few portraits. First we went to the Turrell gallery. Their guestbook was even a Turrell book that guests could write messages in.
Back downstairs…The Mattress Factory is so amazing.
Some of the fantastic reception details…
They made all of these…
Dad and his girls…:)
Instead of the typical rice or bubbles they threw Lavender to send Lauren and Noah off!
