andria + stephen . wedding.

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

Some things are just meant to be. Andria contacted me in July about her 9.10.11 wedding day. It was our weekend off, and so I was admittedly hesitant to take on another wedding. I asked her to describe her day and when I got her response, I was blown away. She wrote a description that painted a picture that I just couldn’t turn down. She sent a photo of she and Stephen. It was going to be perfect. She had found my card in my favorite local coffee shop, The Java House. She is a photographer. They are my neighbors. Perfect.  The week before their wedding, it was rainy.  The day of their wedding, it was MUDDY. But Andria and Stephen, they were thrilled.  They didn’t mind the mud, or the threat of rain and storms. They were just so happy to be getting married.  So they threw down some hay and the party went on. It was AMAZING. I got to wear rain boots all day (as did most of their guests), which was so awesome. Every little moment, and detail can easily be described as completely lovely. I am SO happy that they found my card at the coffee shop and that we got to spend a day photographing them and their wonderful family and friends, and remembering why we love this job, and what is REALLY important about a wedding, LOVE. XO

lori + craig. married.

Friday, September 9th, 2011

Lori and Craig are awesome. No really, they are. They are the kind of couple that everyone wants to be friends with (which would explain why they have so many friends). On their wedding day they were surrounded by love and A TON of laughter.  Lori and Craig tied the knot on what could be described as the hottest September day I can remember. I think it is safe to say that everyone involved had an amazing time celebrating their love and their new life together.  Lori was absolutely gorgeous in her Jim Hjelm gown, her hair by Brooke Rockwell, and makeup by Julie Marckisotto of Pittsburgh Makeup (one of my absolute favorite makeup artists). What a dream team. As always, thank you for choosing us to capture your day. We hope you are having an AMAZING time on your honeymoon. xo

And while I was with Lori and the girls, Jim was with the guys… These were taken within minutes of each other (not on purpose obviously). They are totally meant to be…

Craig’s brothers snuck a little kiss in there…

I was informed that the  sorority squat is a must.

Jim’s angle in black and white, mine in color…

Post “Hott Craig” bomb.  Props to Meghan.  If you were there, you know.

Lori’s dance with her Dad started like any other dance…

FAKE OUT…BOOM. Amazing.  BEST FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE EVER. Seriously.

Normally I would blog the recipient of the bouquet and the garter doing their part to bring years of happiness to the newlyweds but…well look at the crows reaction.  We will keep that one in their gallery. HA.

THANK YOU AGAIN.  You guys are awesome <3

sarah + doug. married.

Sunday, September 4th, 2011

After a short break in our wedding season, Sarah and Doug’s wedding was such a wonderful way to jump back into it. They are such fun, warm people and their bridal party was an blast! Although Sarah and Doug were separated by Sarah’s doctoral program, their relationship clearly hadn’t missed a beat. They were SO excited to be getting married. The weather was warm, the sky kissed with puffy white clouds. It was perfect. Thank you guys for being so wonderful and sharing your love with us! xo
