Our Wedding : The Vendors

Wednesday, March 28th, 2012

With just 24 days until OUR wedding (where is time going), I thought I would post a little wedding update and call it…WEDDING WEDNESDAY (how original, I know).  We have been running around like crazy people trying to complete all of our many DIY projects, going to vendor meetings, mailing checks, all of my brides (and grooms) know the drill.  We brought together what we think will be a totally amazing team for our wedding day, and because so many clients ask us who we will be using for various parts of the day, I figured I would share the list!

venue - the pittsburgh opera
photographer – pat furey
caterers- yes we cater
cinematographer – jeff zoet & mindi harkless (of ShoFilms)
florist - the urban gypsy
DJ & lighting – bill bara (of Modern Era Weddings)
officiant – rev mark denuzzio (of A Simple Vow)
hair – nicki d’alessandro

bridesmaids gowns – one enchanted evening
my gown – bridal beginning

I think that about sums it up. Since a post is no fun without a picture, one of our engagement photos by the amazing Pat Furey!

When Judy contacted me about photographing her wedding to Nick, and mentioned that her favorite photos in my portfolio was this one, I knew we were a match.  Judy is incredibly sweet, organized, and absolutely lovely. Nick is kind, handsome, and very obviously loves Judy more than anything.  They pulled together an incredible team of vendors to perfect their elegant wedding day at the Carnegie Museum of Art.  It was amazing. Judy and Nick, thank you SO much for choosing us, and having such a perfect day for us to capture. You made our first wedding of 2012 a memorable one.  xo

the moments . weddings . favorites of 2011

2011 was an amazing year. It was filled with some of the most amazing clients in the world. The kind of clients who become friends. I decided to start my “Favorites of 2011″ posts with my favorite wedding “moments”. From getting ready to the last dance, these were some of the moments that stuck out in my mind. Moments where I was laughing, crying, or smiling from behind my camera. These ones aren’t as much about the actual photos, they represent a point in time that I want to remember forever. :) It was SO hard to pick favorites, and there are many that I left out so this post could actually appear on the internet before 2013!

THANK YOU to all my lovely brides and grooms, and their awesome family and friends for making it such a wonderful year!

With no further blabbering…my favorite moments, in no particular order.
